Global certification program Quiet Mark has appointed Samm Swain as director of retailer and brand partnerships.

She will lead Quiet Mark’s UK, Europe and North America retailer and manufacturer certification partnerships.

Bringing over 25 years expertise in housewares, furniture, seasonal and SDA, buying and merchandising, she has worked for retail groups and been a consultant for retailers, manufacturers and electrical brands.

CEO and founder of Quiet Mark Poppy Szkiler commented:

“I first met Samm, just over three years ago, when introducing Quiet Mark to her as Buying Director at Lakeland.

“Samm saw the huge benefits to the retailer and the consumer were immediately obvious and we worked together on a license and product testing certification to help customers easily find Quiet Mark certified products.”

Since that meeting, Lakeland has been one of Quiet Mark’s top retail group partnerships, which also includes Argos, Currys plc, John Lewis & Partners and The Very Group.

Samm Swain added:

“In recent years whilst at Lakeland and then through 2021 whilst at Company Shop Group, whose primary focus is on their social enterprise, it has become increasingly important to me to use my experience to do something that makes a difference to the environment, our social responsibility, and to the consumer.

“Quiet Mark ticks all of these boxes, working across various industry sectors to create and enable the essential calm and serenity required within our fast paced, overly noisy lives.”
